Larkey park is located north of downtown Walnut Creek, west of Larkey Lane, south of Oak Park Boulevard and east of Interstate 680.

One of the more affordable areas of Walnut Creek, Larkey Park has many one story homes built in the 1950s. The average price of a home in Larkey Park is about $500,000.

The jewel of the neighborhood is Larkey Park. Larkey Park has children’s play areas, connection to walking trails, open turf area, picnic areas, restrooms, sand volleyball court, swimming (May-September), tennis. Larkey Park is also home to the Lindsay Wildlife Museum and the Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society.

Palos Verde

Palos Verde is a small neighborhood in Walnut Creek located just west of Larkey Park. It’s bordered by Beacon and Summit Hill Ridge to the south, Geary and Pleasant Hill Roads to the north, and Larkey Lane to the east. Less than 2000 people live in the Palos Verde neighborhood. The homes are slightly newer than you’ll find in Larkey Park. There are also more two-story homes in Palos Verde. The neighborhood’s central hub is the Palos Verde shopping center.

 

Beacon and Summit Ridge

Beacon and Summit Ridge are a collection of homes and upscale town homes in the hills in western Walnut Creek. Many of the town homes were built in the past 25 years. The area is known for it’s views and access to trails.
